Paco Chanivet (Sevilla, 1984)
He has a degree in Fine Arts, with studies in social and cultural anthropology, as well as directing and screenwriting. Lives and works in Barcelona. Some of his contributions in the national artistic field have been for: The Place of the Facts (Sala d'Art Jove), Audio-drift for the J. R Plaza Archive (La Virreina Center de la Imatge), F for Fiction (Can Felipa Arts Visuals), Family Constellations (Sala Muncunill EspaiDos), Ne travaillez jamais (ADN Platform, ADN Galería), Follow the trails as if you were short-sighted (Arts Santa Mònica), Allegories of the everyday (CC Las Cigarreras), Not what that appears (Premi Miquel Casablancas, Fabra i Coats), SSSSSSSilex (La Capella - BCN Producció), Ante el tiempo (Iniciarte, Sala Santa Inés), Produir, Produir, Produï (t) (LOOP Festival), La Plaza Synthetika, ( Matadero Madrid), Festival D'A (CCCB) and Interregno (Espai 13 of the Miró Foundation).
In 2017 he was awarded with the Artium-Getxoarte acquisition award and the first prize at the XXXIII La Rioja Muestra de Arte Joven. In 2018 he won the award for best international short film at the Cali, Chiloé and Andorra film festivals. Some of his works are in the collections of Universitat de Barcelona, Fundació Banc Sabadell, the ARTIUM Collection and Utópicus. Since 2016 he has been a resident artist at the Hangar production center and in mid-2018 at La Escocesa. He is the promoter and co-founder of FASE, a space for creation and emerging thought in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat.
