Rafa Castells (Barcelona, 1989)
He is a photographer and artist living and working in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. He has published two books with the Editorial Terranova, "Schlecker" (2014) and "Life" (2018). He has also collaborated with other artists creating album covers, making videoclips and in photographic recording. In 2019 he has collaborated in "Practica" by Sara de Ubieta with Puente Editores and "Santomà Cerralbó" by Guillermo Santomà with Editorial Caniche.
Rafa Castells, in a more unknown facet, has collectively exhibited his work at the H2O Gallery in Barcelona in the exhibition "La Forma Del Món" (2014) together with photographer Alba Yruela. Also, individually, at the Galería O in Madrid with the exhibition "¡Vamos Rafa!" (2018) curated by friend and artist Maria Pratts. Along with Maria Pratts, Rafa Castells has collaborated on several occasions; among others, in 2013 they organized the parties "Jornadas en el Sótano" 1 and 2, in Barcelona.
Since 2013 he has edited and published numerous fanzines, and currently he has started the "Arxiu 42" where he is editing publications by friends and artists such as: Pablito Blockchain Gabbana, Carmela Sesé, Cocaina Zero, Alba Yruela, Saba Casalta, Maria Pratts, Isaac Anís, among others. All of them often meet at his home / studio in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, where Rafa Castells has organized parties and exhibitions: "1ª Fiesta Plop" by Generación Genética, the exhibitions "Tourist On A Dream" by Oriol Enguany and "Fuck My Life" by Javier Pérez-Curiel.
