The Barcelona Contemporary Art Centre is a cultural facility that produces, promotes and exhibits contemporary art projects by local and international creators. It works in the field of visual arts and focuses mainly on the crossover between emerging artists and those with fully consolidated and recognised careers. The Art Centre is a space for dialogue – dialogue with users so it can carry out collaborative projects that transcend large museum structures, and, above all, dialogue between creators in different contexts from different generations. As a place for experimentation and presenting ideas, it encourages exchange between languages and disciplines. In this way it plays a key role in driving the professionalisation of the industry and raising the visibility of new artists.
