From Montjuïc to L’Hospitalet

Montjuic is a privileged place to gaze at Barcelona. Not only for the stunning views of the city that open from the top of the mountain, but also because it has been witness of the most important events in the recent history of Catalunya.

Urbanized during the Universal Exhibition of 1929 and remodeled for the Olympic Games of 1992; Montjuic has always looked into the future without losing sight of tradition, showing itself to the world from a strong Catalan identity. Here, we have examples in the fusion of architecture, landscaping, urban sculpture, museums and cultural institutions.

In addition to the galleries and art centers noted on the map, Montjuic has other attractions that are a must. For example, the German Pavilion designed by Mies Van der Rohe for the Universal Exhibition of 1929, a true manifesto of modern architecture written in glass, steel and marble.
