The nobleness of effort and the love of good well-done work sustain social life far more than any law. Therefore, through a system of exchanges and alternations, work is also a foundation regime of the social bond. However, productivity relieves the excellence from work. It implies the instrumental and accelerated capitalization of the experience, which renders indiscernible worker and tool, work and holidays, will and obligation. Subjectivity will have been the last continent to be colonized. Moreover, the industrialized formalization of participation will lead to a delegation of responsibility. It is a transcendental ventriloquism, according to which we recognize our voice in the naturalized artifice of representation. The citizen becomes a patient agent whose participation is executed ex officio. In the empire of a surrogate will, this existence “ex officio“ refers to an experience that begins without the need for activity on behalf of the interested party, which does not happen at the instance of the subject, but proceeds from inertia. Besides, with the aesthetic inertia of traditions, there is a creative inertia, which turns good into adverse, in the name of a potential "better" that eludes any calculation of risks. In the name of an incessant search for experiences, the experience has been abolished by the absolutism of obsolescence. If in the non-alienated dedication of the artist, the need is overtaken by desire, his subjectivity is a consequence of doing and not an effect of cultural instruction.
