It is easy to imagine Carlota sitting at a table full of papers of different sizes and colors. Old magazine pages, cans of Chinese ink, four brushes, scissors and glue. In short, everything she needs to make her imagination fly while she composes her collages listening to Talking Heads on iTunes.

Carlota always knew how to find her place in the world being surrounded by those small objects that still today are meticulously accumulated on the shelves of her house. A universe full of references and memories that help her to create these almost timid pieces of simple appearance, which actually offer us a sensitive story echoing Le Corbusier, Joan Miró, Tibor Kalman, Joan Brossa, David Bowie and Henri Matisse…

In her small collages Carlota shows that there is a world that still strives to remember that beauty is everywhere. Even in those places where we do not always know how to appreciate it.
