Motiscause

Reflections in a (clandestine) interior

Motiscause offers us a journey between paper, lines, colors and sound. The artist creates an artistic journey that aims to reflect on balance, harmony and the beauty between each item; between the works and the space itself that supports the works of art, just opened for the this occasion. The physical location itself, "La Clandestina" plays an essential part of the development of the artwork.

Motiscause develops his reflection through the technique that is generally considered as the essence of aesthetics and art: Drawing. Constantly searching for a balance between parties, trying to propose an aesthetic possibility, which underlies a strong knowledge of the facts, Motiscause proposes 3 series of drawings on paper that follow, each one telling a different story, that necessary eurythmia.

The drawings are "Interferences": relationships discovered between lines and dots, interspersed; the lines make up a map, each time different. The connections made between the dots are stories, passing through the crowds of interjection generated by the drawings.

The drawings are "Sons of Paper": three large sheets of paper handmade by the artist himself. The work also composed of the sound of the paper, registered through the microphones placed on the brushes in the containers of the colors and between the sheets while the artist was drawing. The sound passes between the fibres and the layering of the paper itself. An invitation to listen and to see beyond the most obvious, to dig into detail of the things that are in relation with the surrounding space.

The drawings are "Città": cities at night, cities in the storm, cities shrouded in mist as mastodontic vessels that ply the oceans of existence. From afar they fill us with melancholy or at times sadness, but at no time they leave us indifferent.

The drawing is "L'autoritratto".
