Barcelona Gallery Weekend celebrates the opening of the season with a special programme in the most relevant art galleries of Barcelona and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat.

Barcelona Gallery Weekend.

Barcelona Gallery Weekend opens the season each year with a special programme in the most relevant galleries in Barcelona and L’Hospitalet. The exhibition programme, previously selected by a committee, is complemented by an extensive agenda of guided tours, meetings with art professionals, presentations, performances, guided routes, BGW Familiar and other free activities focused on modern and contemporary art in the city.

The 12th edition will take place from 17 to 20 September 2026.

The Barcelona Gallery Weekend PRO programme is aimed at collectors, curators, art critics and representatives of institutions, both local and international. It includes specific visits, social events and exclusive activities designed to showcase Barcelona’s artistic offer and foster synergies among our invited guests.

The Acquisitions Programme involves foundations, companies and private collections that commit to incorporating into their collections works presented at the galleries participating in BGW, demonstrating their support for the sector and contributing to the revitalisation of the market, which is essential for a sustainable artistic ecosystem.

[+] THE COLLECTOR IS PRESENT: 14–16 May, 2026
The spring programme, the result of collaboration between gallerists and collectors, takes shape in an agenda of exhibitions, meetings and conversations centred on the relationships established between collectors, gallerists and artists, as well as on different ways of approaching art and the motivations behind acquiring it.
