For the first time in his artistic career, Luca Pagliari uses certain autobiographical elements as direct matter of his work. The causes of obsession and defeat constantly concern him and now they manifest in the sphere of subjective experiences.

In the exhibition the artworks coexist and overlap with processes, references, stories and annotations. Pagliari organizes and compiles a series of heterogeneous works on a common theme. At the same time, they are practices of reflection, attempts to understand, self-criticism and expression.

“No Show”: “it does not appear”, “there is no exhibition”, “it is not a mise en scène”. We find ourselves in the world of apparently impassable obstacles, of the difficulty in fully saying, of the missing matter during the act of communication. We are in the invisible space of desire and sorrow, but at the same time the space of honesty and challenge.

“No show” embodies an archetype: the paradoxical desire to transmit the non-transferable experience.
