In Art Barcelona we present to you the following circuit of activities that you can do during Sant Jordi. Here are some of the most interesting places that we recommend to visit.
In Arts Santa Mònica you’ll find ArtLibris, the 7th Edition of ArtsLibris, International Contemporary Publishing Fair. The seventh edition of ArtsLibris, International Contemporary Publishing Fair, will be held from 20th to 24th April in Arts Santa Mònica - Centre dela Creativitat. Artist’sbooks, photobooks, contemporary bibliophilia, and other formats akin to artists’ editions, as well as an array of printed matter produced by artists of the 20th and 21st centuries, will regain the spotlight and remind us of the fair’s essence. ArtsLibris would not be possible without the support of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Ajuntament de Barcelona, Institut Ramon Llull, Consulado de México in Barcelona and the Arts Santa Mònica - Centre de la Creativitat, as the fair’s main premises, as well as the collaboration and involvement of the Fundació Banc Sabadell, as principal partner and La Vanguardia as press associate. Take notice of the cost: 4 €. Children under 12 free. Sant Jordi’s day: Free entrance.
Can Framis Museum: But what if the dragon falls in love with the princess? On 23 April, 11 am to 1.30 pm, the Can Framis Museum invites children to make up a story for Saint George’s day inspired by the artists and the works on display in the painting collection. On a guided tour the colours, shapes and movement of art will help us think up our own legend. The activity will finish in the workshop area with an artistic interpretation of the story using contemporary creative techniques.
In Fabra i Coats. from April 21 to 27, will host a series of concerts by such renowned groups as Ensemble Diagonal (France) and BCN216 (Catalonia), as well as up-and-coming acts like Ensemble Regards (France) and Manufaktur für aktuelle Musik (Germany). Moreover, four leading soloists, including the pianist Mario Prisuelos and the percussionist Sabrina Ma, will provide a sample of all that is best on the European scene today.
