House of Chappaz was born from the evolution and transformation that the Espai Tactel gallery has had both on a professional and personal level since its foundation in 2011, maintaining its essence, but expanding its field of action. This transformation has occurred naturally and its objective is that the gallery founded in Valencia by Ismaël Chappaz, and to which in 2018 the Toormix team in Barcelona was added (creating Espai Tactel Toormix), continues to grow, expand and create . new alliances to continue disseminating its lines of action and its ideas in pursuit of the most current contemporary art. That is why a team led by Chappaz has been formed, which is joined by Oriol Armengou and Ferran Mitjans (creators and directors of the Toormix studio).

House of Chappaz has two spaces; House of Chappaz Flat (directed by Ismaël Chappaz) in València, and House of Chappaz Basement (co-directed by Oriol Armengou and Ferran Mitjans) in Barcelona. Following the lines marked by the previous project, and that affect topics such as the future, gender theories, queerness, contemporary aesthetics, comics, manga, video games among many others, House of Chappaz is shown as an interesting and powerful gallery to take into account. House of Chappaz Flat (formerly Espai Tactel) is part of the Consortium of Contemporary Art Galleries. House of Chappaz Flat (formerly Espai Tactel) LaVAC, Associació de galeries d'art contemporani de la Comunitat Valenciana) and House of Chappaz Basement (formerly Espai Tactel Toormix) are part of ART BARCELONA, Associació de Galeries.
