The ProjecteSD gallery was founded in 2003. The ProjecteSD program aims to generate dialogue between established artists and young authors, presenting works from different eras and contexts as a way to emphasize artistic value over trends, classifications or generations. . In addition to its exhibition program, ProjecteSD pays special attention to artist books, developing a section of permanently growing editions from which the projects of the represented authors are prioritized. ProjecteSD is recognized as a new gallery concept within the state scene. Its consistent program, its particular selection of artists outside of commercial interests, beyond market trends and demands, and its personal stamp, have contributed to the gallery's prestige and uniqueness.
In 2014, ProjecteSD received the Arte y Mecenazgo award given by “La Caixa” in the category of best gallery in Spain. In 2019 the gallery received the recognition of the Guild of Art Galleries of Catalonia for the best programming in 2018.
